JGMS Crackers (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through our website, how we use it, and your rights under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”).

JGMS Crackers is operated by the proprietor of JGMS Crackers, Belathur, Tamil Nadu 635103, India. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”), we are the Data Fiduciary for personal data collected through this website.
1.2 What This Website Does
This website is a product catalogue. You can browse products, build a list called “My Celebration List”, and open WhatsApp with a prefilled message to send us your enquiry. We do not take online payments, and we do not complete sales through this website.

We do not ask for Aadhaar, PAN, bank, card or UPI details through this website. Please do not send them to us.
1.4 Your List Is Stored on Your Device
Your “My Celebration List” is saved in your browser’s local storage on your own device so it is still there when you refresh. This data stays on your device. We do not receive it unless you choose to send an enquiry on WhatsApp. You can clear it any time using “Clear list” or by clearing your browser data.
1.5 How the WhatsApp Handoff Works
When you tap the WhatsApp button, your phone or browser opens WhatsApp with a prefilled message containing your name, location, products, quantities and notes. Nothing is sent to us until you press Send in WhatsApp. Once you send it, the message is handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own terms and privacy policy, and we receive it on our business number.
1.6 Why We Use Your Data
- To reply to your enquiry and confirm availability, prices and collection options.
- To follow up on that enquiry.
- To meet legal and licensing requirements, such as safety rules and record keeping.
- To keep the website secure and working.
We will not use your data for a different purpose without asking you again. We do not sell your personal data.
1.7 Consent
We collect and use your data based on your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box on the enquiry form and by sending us the WhatsApp message. Where the law allows, we may also process data for legitimate uses recognised by the DPDP Act. You can withdraw your consent at any time as easily as you gave it (see section 1.11).
1.9 How Long We Keep Data
We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and meet legal requirements. Unless the law requires longer, we delete enquiry chats and details after 12 months of no activity. Website technical logs are kept for 90 days.
1.10 Security
We take reasonable security steps, including HTTPS on this website and limiting who can see enquiries. No system is completely secure. If a personal data breach affects you, we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.
1.11 Your Rights
Under the DPDP Act you may:
- Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold and how we use it.
- Ask us to correct or complete your data.
- Ask us to erase your data.
- Withdraw your consent.
- Nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to.
- Raise a grievance with us, and if you are not satisfied, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

1.12 Children
This website is for adults aged 18 and above. Crackers must not be sold to or handled by children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Our website may link to Instagram, WhatsApp, Google Maps and similar services. Their privacy practices are their own and governed by their respective policies.

We may update this policy. The latest version will be on this page with a new date. Please check back periodically.
